Devil’s Night kickoff scares up some fun
Really, what good is a legacy of seasonal debauchery if you can’t pass it on to your kids?
No good at all, really, which is why the second generation of Gentlemen of The Garden are happily taking over leadership of the group’s Devil’s Night bash. First on the to-do list: cocktails!
A cocktail reception hosted by GOG co-founder Bob Eigelberger honored the committee members and sponsors of the group’s upcoming Halloween bash. The evening took place Wednesday at Eigelberger’s Palm Beach home and included cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, music and an update on plans for the spooky soiree.
Oliver Cameron-Hayes, son of GOG founding member Jonathan Cameron-Hayes, is chairman of the Devil’s Night party, which takes place Oct. 31 at the Flagler Museum. Kristin Holmes is chairwoman, with Julio Gonzalez as honorary chairman and Zach McElroy as co-chairman.
Guests are asked to don costume dress in keeping with the theme, which this year is “Rebirth.”
We’re betting on at least one costume that involves a baby doll and the contents of a can of Beefaroni.
Proceeds benefit The Gentlemen of the Garden.
Founded in 1991 with a mission to support the Ann Norton Sculpture Gardens, the organization has extended its philanthropic reach to andscaping and environmental beautification projects. Past recipients include the Mounts Botanical Garden, The Community Foundation Green Fund and The YMCA of the Palm Beaches.
