No tricks! Gentlemen of the Garden reception previews Devil’s Night

What is it about Halloween that makes it the favorite holiday of the Gentlemen of the Garden?

We’re guessing it’s because every one of those GOGs has a wee bit of devil in him.

The lovable rascals — now in their 25th year of raising funds for local greenscapes — kicked off the 2016 season with a reception at Café L’Europe.

The event took place Sept. 29 and included cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and the finalization of plans for the group’s annualHalloween bash.

Zac McElroy is chairman for Devil’s Night, which takes place Oct. 29 at the Ann Norton Sculpture Gardens in West Palm Beach and calls for “the most devilish attire.”

Committee members are Kristin Holmes, Will Corrente, Chris Fludder, Oliver Cameron-Hayes, John Igoe, Sarah Potkin, Charles Bain and Jeff Dever.

The night will include cocktails, dinner, dancing, a deejay and some of the most outrageous costumes ever seen within a perp walk of Palm Beach.

The event is limited to 300 guests.

At long last, restraint.
